A tried-and-true way of consistently moving the ball down the field is to open up gaps in the defense at the point of attack. In this video featuring Myers Hendrickson, you'll learn all about Hendrickson's movable gap system and how to implement it within your own offense.

Moveable Gap Philosophy

Coach Hendrickson begins this presentation by giving an overview of his offensive philosophy that utilizes a moveable gap system. The moveable gap player is a hybrid fullback/tight end that is used in multiple ways to create an additional gap in the formation that the defense has to account for after the snap.

Hendrickson also explains how the moveable gap player can be used in the passing game to put tremendous stress on the defense. Not only will you see how to use the movable gap player on the field - you'll also see how to identify the best candidates in your program to serve as the movable gap player.

Run and Pass Concepts

Coach Hendrickson spends considerable time diagramming various run and pass schemes that he utilizes with his offense. The run game is based on gap blocking fundamentals while attacking the defense both inside and on the perimeter. Hendrickson also diagrams his jet sweep series, from a number of formations, that keeps the pressure on the defense by threatening multiple gaps in one play. Finally, you'll learn several play action concepts that will complement your run attack.

This video will be a great addition to any offensive coach's library. With the concepts in this video, your team will put great stress on your opponents' defenses this season and turn into an offensive powerhouse!
